Is there a surefire way to determine if the rear mounts are good...
Can I do this with the flywheel covers off? I am not sure what you mean?Ayuh,.... Lay a straightedge across 'em,... Are they even, both the same height,..?? Both 1/2s,..??
If so, put the motors back in,....
Ayuh,.... Sure,.... The flywheel covers have 2, 1/2s in 'em, are they even,..?
Ayuh,.... One half of the rear motor mount assembly is in the flywheel cover,.....
One on each side, port, 'n starboard,..
Lookin' at each one in each side of the flywheel cover, are they even,..??
Are they inset/ protrudin' the same amount on each side of the flywheel cover,..??
What makes ya think they're bad,..??
In your opinion is it worth changing them even if they are good?you guys need to check your computer clicks, its only 10:58 am in the east
Place something flat across the mount and measure the depth . If both are recessed and equal they should be good, but for how long?
I try to get the original ones that use the doublewound washer (not knurled on the bottom) but have installed a few motors with the newer knurled base .
