Started up new engine/drive assembly today on the muff's, just to check things, leaks etc., keeping around 1500 rpm's for breakin reasons.
I noticed the oil pressure is reading low at 25 ish pds at 1500. I went below to check connections and when I touch the blue oil sender wire (connector), the engine rpm's noticebly increase, just by touching it! I removed the wire completely from the sender, no difference. (the oil psi gauge did quit working whenever the wire was removed)
I havent tested or replaced the sender yet, just getting started in the testing.....
I will check the obvious connections but I thought I would check to see if it rang any bells with anyone.
