Re-re installing alpha one, what can I re-use?

So my first install attempt ended with the paper bell housing gasket pushed out on the one side. Removed drive and preparing to re-install. I think extra grease from water passage o-ring forced it out along with over torque from a crappy torque wrench.

Question is given none of the o-rings have seen use do they have to be swapped? I mean it’s not hard to do, just curious if I really have to remove the big o-ring, clean the housing and re-glue a new one in?

No need to replace them. Very common the gasket gets pushed out. Makes sure the area is clean of scale and old gasket. Just snug the down tight with a calibrated elbow. Have never used a torque wrench on this .

Thanks. I never used a torque wrench on the old VP SX A I had. Just thought i’d do this one by the book.

Anything else that causes them to pop out I can avoid?

I install them dry, the grease from the O-ring can be mostly wiped off. Some say to use the bellows adhesive to glue the ring in. I don't as later cleanup is not as fun for me. Yeah, over torquing will squish the gasket out. My elbow works fine as I've done tons of them over the years. While you have the torque wrench out you shouls check the steering pin on top, I forger the torque right now but if the pin is loose it'll ruin the gimble ring.

Make sure they are clean and flat, no corrosion
