My friend bought a boat off someone who i definitely wouldnt buy a car from seeing the way he treats that. The bearing(s) are squealing in the raw water pump so ive taken it off to replace them and the impeller.
I cant work out how to get the shaft out so i can knock out the bearings, i cant see a circlip anywhere but i believe i have some play between shaft and housing so they dont seem fixed. I dont know how it could be pressed out either. Any tips would be greatly appreciated
Its off a Perkins model# unknown but suspect 40hp.

Thanks but then i miss out on some good times.
I ended up getting end of day frustration. I hit a socket into the wheel side of the shaft hole. That got the press fit shaft out. The shaft then freely came out of the housing. The bearings came out in the usual way with a short bolt hitting them.
Theres no circlip and a small spacer. Now to find bearing matches

and if there is any scoring of the housing, it wont matter if there are new bearings
