This has been one that has baffled me for years and drives me crazy.<br />I will first say that women are the biggest offenders.<br /><br />When you get into your parked car and it appears you have no kids, groceries or what ever needs adjusting, the next logical thing to do is put the key in and start the damn thing and put it in reverse!<br /><br />I have come to call it the "Pondering the mysteries of the universe" mental zone out.<br /><br />Is this a pitiful attempt at appearing to have power by making other drivers wait!

Ok, Happened this morning.<br /><br />Long line in grocery check out, ***an has her kids unloading cart for her, she stands and watches. <br /><br />Finally eady to pay for Thanksgiving fixins for 20, and NOW she pulls out her checkbook. Asks what the date is, how much did you say the total was, and then stops to tell the bagger she wanted something rebagged in paper bags.<br /><br />Back to checkbook, again asks the total. I'm getting JUST A BIT IMPATIENT NOW, and I have to ask her, "did your name change recently?"<br /><br />Huh?<br /><br />I repeat, "Did your name change recently, or the name of the store, or the date?" I got the deer in headlights look.<br /><br />I continue," Cause anyone with half a brain would have filled out their check while they were standing here for ten minutes.<br /><br />I see flames building. Hear some grunts and mumblings about being in a hurry.<br /><br />I couldn't resist and said if she was in such a hurry she should have had her check filled out.<br /><br />With that I got a very loud F%%%YOU.<br /><br />I bet she'll think of me often. I feel sorry for the kids, they'll end up worse than mom.

here's a driving one of mine...<br />cruising along and you see someone in front of you put on their blinker to turn right onto another street, no problem, you slow down trying to time it just right so that you dont have to brake real hard...when right at the last moment, the person turning decides that they must slow to almost a complete stop just to finish making the turn..... brakes/squeal/hand gesture....and by the way- I know it would have been my fault but it still drives me nuts!

At radio shack last weekend, I just wanted a 2 dollar switch. There are 3 clerks, with 3 customers at 3 cash registers trying to sell as much extra as possible, hashing over different options. These people need to spend their mull over time away from the register.

This one relates to cashiering...Was at fast food place other day and total was something like 14.03. So, I give girl a $20 and a dime (didn't have any pennies on me). She hands me back the dime and says, "its just 14.03". I say "I know" and give her back the dime. She roll's her eyes, keys in "cash tendered" and up pops change amount. She couldn't figure out I was trying to walk away with 7cents instead of 97cents in coins.

Roscoe kinda touched on this. Women and CHECKBOOKS. First, most carry a purse that is the size of an army trooper pack, diggin' around, can't find it...., kids going crazy, me with my one item to pay for, then she pulls it out like it's some kind of magic trick. And then to top it off, they balance right there at the checkout. <br /><br />Me: checkcard. Swipe. press: Ok. sign and I'm out.<br />DMan<br />Have a good T-giving!<br /><br />PS:<br /><br />Here's the drug info for what I have:<br /><br />Meth: 3-5 days, dependant on urine PH<br />THC: 3-5 days-occasional user, <br /> 15-30 days chronic user<br />Cocaine: 2-3 days<br />Alcohol: 24 hours, dependant on dose.<br />PCP: 10 days<br />As a person who deals with this stuff everyday, I can tell you who uses drugs just by their demeanor and thought processes, even if they are not 'under the influence' when they are talking to me. <br />Not to start a war or anything. Just my point of view.

DMAN,<br /> You said "chronic user" LMAO Double meaning.<br /><br />Where I work, there's mandatory random drug testing quite frequently on drivers of company vehicles and equipment. In this lawsuit-crazed society, I can't say I blame them. Just because someone smokes some reefer to unwind after a hard day, does that mean they will be doing bong-hits driving a truck down the road? Maybe not, but it's more of a moral issue. Bottom line is that the drugs they test for are illegal. If a person has no regard for THAT law, chances are, they have no regard for other illegal activities - namely theft - etc. I've never tried drugs myself, so my opinion is biased... and I got ALOT of biased opinions <br /><br />Heck of a thread here by the way!! But why is everyone in such a hurry? I include myself with this, but most of these rants have to do with being in a hurry.

It has nothing to do with being in a hurry. What bank doesn't offer a check or debit card? You want to know what your balance is --- just call the number on the back of the card. <br /><br />I think the only reason checks are still being used is for people who know they ain't got the funds.

I like to ask the cashier "Still take cash?"...<br /><br />I hate the one's with too many items in the express line... Then they want to pay for it all with a check...

OH MAN DID YOU HIT IT WITH THE CHECKBOOK!<br /><br />I totally forgot on that one. Don't knwo how either. This one pisses me off just about as much as cell phones while driving.<br /><br />I have been studying this issue. It almost ALL cases, it is WOMEN who write the checks AND they almost never have it filled out and ready before they get to the register.<br /><br />I can understand our Seniors unwillingness to make the transition to check cards. I don't get frustrated at them. My state went over to a type of debit card for my Grandma's assistance. Try to teach her how to use it? LOL!<br /><br />I'm an in-and-out person too. Swipe my debit card, and I'm gone.<br /><br />Here's another rant concerning stores:<br /><br />How about those parents who DON'T watch their kids in the store?<br />They let them run around and screw with everything, yelling and screaming. <br />And IF for some reason they do disclipline, they simply say, "Billy now stop that" in a calm-like voice. <br />And yes, I must say it...Most of the time it's women who let their kids do this.<br /><br />I watched mine like a hawk in stores when they were younger. A simle scowl would send them scurrying.<br /><br />Sometimes when I see a situation like this in a store, I'll tell my kids in a voice I know the other parent can hear: Boy, I'm sure glad my kids don't act like that in stores!<br />I get the usual dirty look... But hey, I'm tryng to shop, and not watch out for some loose child drag racing with a shopping cart!<br /><br />H.

Well, what really chaps my butt, besides old people who can't remember their own birthdate, is renting DVD's that wont play because they have deep scratches of strange looking goopy stuff smeared all over them.<br /><br />We sit down in my home theatre and press play. Opening credits, the story line developes, the plot thickins and then suddenly - freeze frame: lock up.<br /><br />Get up pull the disk and sure enough scratches or crud all over it. So knowing it must have been the last renter, I start to wonder about the slobs, as I clean up their mess. <br /><br />I like to think they just do it on purpose, at first. That way I don't have to imagine an environment where a DVD could get that screwed up. However, being a slow cleaning type person, My thoughts soon wonder to the den of slime that the last renter must be living in. Worse then swine. Worse then Inlaw-swine, worse then Swine on crack squirting babies out left and right, worse even then Political swine. Swine that give pig's a bad name!<br /><br />By this time I am ready to try the DVD again. So, I cross my...dang, dinner time. see you later.

The one I forgot.... And how could I.... I hear one right now sitting down at the stoplight... Them Damn Idiots with the BOOM BOXES it their cars... Usualy little import cars too... Don't even get me started on import cars.... Far as I'm concerned if ya drive one you should be boxed up in it, placed on the ship that brought it, and deported to the country that manufactured it...<br /><br /> Anyways....I live in an old Florida house, ya know wood floors and so on... So I'm in the head (thats the bathroom/toilet to you landlubbers) and one of them cars goes past and the house.... The lid on the toilet tank starts buzzin' and vibrating, the windows start rattling, and I've even seen the pictures on the wall jump from the sound waves penetrating and violating the sanctity of my homespace...<br /><br />They should be arrested and thrown in jail for that crap.... Thats like trespassing....

Ya, BJB...if them lil rice racers would take some of the load off that alternator, they might pick up a few MPH....<br /> I always thought roads were for moving.....if you aint moving, GET OFF THE ROAD!...one of the most important things I tried to teach my older, now driving kids....GET MOVING OR GET OVER!<br /> Same with launch ramps...they are for getting boats wet....anybody that takes more than 4 minutes on a launch or retrieve usually aint ready enough....if your havin trouble, I'll help, but if your throwing gear the boat, you'll get an earful...<br /> anybody else get upset at gas stations? getting fuel is no prob, but getting to a cashier is a real challenge....between the piles of crap for sale on the counters, you got the lottery ticket people scratchin an buyin, scratchin an buyin...right behind them , the 'I want three packs of smokes and who do I make the check out to?'....yeah, I know, a card I could swipe at the pump would fix it, but I am still the guy carryin around dead presidents in his pockets....cash ALWAYS spends. keeps me away from ATM's too.

I just thought of another one.<br /><br />Have you ever been in a "convenience" store and get behind someone who appears to be checking out and then starts yelling for Janey, Suzy, Tommy, Davey,.....to hurry up and choose something and bring it up to the counter.<br /><br />If you and the army you brought in with you aren't ready to "check out" DON'T GET IN THE "CHECK OUT" LINE! <br /><br />It gets even better when this clown thinks it is cute to let each one of the crumb crushers pay for their own stuff...ONE AT A TIME!
