Hillbilly bidet, garden hose hooked up to toilet water line.
YayDon't you guys ever sleep? Anyway, McTool got it. The window casing isn't square. I cut one board too short, thought "I'll deal with it later, it won't take much to compensate". Then later came and I forgot, already had more in than I was willing to take back out, so it's good enough.
I just had to cough up 400 to get ours cleaned out . Been here 10 years so I guess thats not so bad . The outlet was blocked with them wet wipes and we have never put them down there. You might be giving them an idea ! All jokes aside, my wife has bowel issues and we were going thru tons of toilet paper...having a septic tank, that speeded up the time between pump outs. At 550 bucks per pump out, a bidet was far cheaper....and yes they work quite well actually. Especially when you ate to much of the wrong thing ! That jet of water cleans well and a much smaller wad of TP is needed.....I have had almost no clogs since switching to a bidet...
A buddy owned a plumbing supply company. Gave me a couple of cases of commercial "bacteria/enzymes" treatments to put in my septic system.we were going thru tons of toilet paper...having a septic tank, that speeded up the time between pump outs.
Those treatments are great! And use Scott TP ... all that soft stuff doesn't deteriorate well.A buddy owned a plumbing supply company. Gave me a couple of cases of commercial "bacteria/enzymes" treatments to put in my septic system.
Never thought much about it until we sold the house several years later and the buyer wanted the septic tank pumped.
The septic guy came out, popped the cap and asked why we thought it needed pumped. Hardly had anything in it.
Yessir, nice strong comfy toilet paper is not good for the septic tank, but the cheap paper that is good for the tank is not good for the bottom ! Have used those chemicals for breakdown, works great on organic waste, but not so much on TP itself. With my wife's bowel issues she probably goes thru a roll every other day, had pro's out ant tried numerous chemicals, but the TP just can't break down fast enough. Those treatments are great! Do you mean actually break down compostingly or just disintegrate . The stuff I got last about 3 hrs in water and then its mush .Yessir, nice strong comfy toilet paper is not good for the septic tank, but the cheap paper that is good for the tank is not good for the bottom ! I am lucky in that I do not have a mound system, if my drainfield goes bad it is over $20,000 for a mound system I will spend $250 every other year. We've done ours once in 20 years and that was 4 maybe 5 years ago. 130 ft of line.
Now, while poop discussions are random here is a more 'normal' post....

Back in the day dad was way into jogging and followed Jim fixx, even kept one of his running logs. The ol Jim up and croaked of a heart attack at a young age, while jogging iirc. Here's another "normal" post.....

Depends on soil type, tank size, and how many people. Our gut recommends every 5 years at least. When new, went 10 years twice, but as the system ages, we need to clean it more often.General guidelines get your tank pumped every other year for drainfield health.

... an "Abby Normal" post.
I was so hoping someone would do that...... an "Abby Normal" post.
