That's another thing 5th wheels have over travel trailers. They don't get upset when being passed by or passing truckers.

Wow, I once came upon a real mess in the road, It looked like someone with a smaller pull behind camper pulled put in front of another vehicle and the camper got t-boned. There was nothing left of the camper, just complete camper related stuff all over the highway. Pots, pans, luggage, sheet metal, wood, clothes. At least no one was hurt.

Nah, I wish ... driving home from meetings in Knoxville. Crossing over the Caney Fork river about 30 MIN from the house. That overlook is amazing in the fall.

Just realized we drive practically past your house when we go south.... For some reason I thought you were on the east side..... We go thru Clarksville too.......

I live HERE. Murfreesboro is the geographic center of the state. Not sure exactly how far away the marker is from the house, but it's within a mile or 5. If you're running SE on I24 through the 'boro, you pass within about 3 miles of me.

^^^ Yes. You want to do it :)

Yes we do want to. It's a big step though. We have two young children ,2 and 7, I have a good job , we have a nice place in the country that's half paid for, so it's a big decision. Would love to move out of Illinois though.

I think a lot of people get scared off taking a big step. But, don't let it hold you back. I made real good money in Mpls, Mn. Me and my wife were both from small towns and wanted out of the city. One day we just decided to do it. Our daughter was 2. Our friends said they wish they could do it too, it's doable, committing is the 1st step..... It can be scary, but in the long haul it was worth it. Been here 18yrs.... Funny thing, we had sold our house in Mpls before we found one to move into, but it all worked out,......

Marker isn't showing up, but yeah, we run down 24......
Whups: missed your post ... didn't mark the house, just the town. Though, next time you're gonna' pass through lemme' know. We'll connect up for sure.

The Admiral and I lived in Detroit with our two daughters (son was still to come). I was making good money, but Detroit was gettin' pretty "iffy" in the mid 90s - especially to raise kids in. The burbs were too expensive, and we decided to look at some other cities. We moved to Nashville in 1997. Closest people we knew lived 600 miles away. The extended family thought we were loons.

20 years later, it's one of the best decisions I've made yet.

We plan on heading south sometime this year with the trailer. I'll let you know.... We'll be coming thru town again...

My wife has family in Florida and has mentioned moving down there, but I think it's too far, too hot, and too crowded for my liking .. Tennessee seems perfect... Without talking about taxes and politics it's hard to talk about why we want to move out of Illinois😉... But anyway,,,,, back to random post's

Florida is the place to go for taxes. A couple up here has 2 homes. Stays just over half the time in Florida, so they're considered Florida residents. Comes north for summer. But ya, I agree about all the people....
