Here's an aerial shot of the ramp I posted:

The very top of the concrete is where we launch when Mead is full.

do you beach the boat right by the ramp or dock it in those slips and then walk all the way back to the truck?

I'm gonna go kiss the ramp I use weekly....lol.

that thing looks like an airplane runway!!

wow now i am very thankful for where i launch. nice almost brand new launch ramp, NEVER have to wait more than a few min... even with only 2 lanes theres never more than 3 or 4 waiting to come/go at the same time. the only downside is no courtesy dock. everytthing has to be ready to go so we can take off as soon as i get back from parking the truck.

I'll keep up this hijack as everytime you guys see these mega ramps there are questions.

If you look at the bottom of the ramp you can see trucks parked right by the end of the ramp. The parking moves with the water level. Also, there are some courtesy docks at the ramp.

What I usually do there, is I take the boat, I have my oldest take the truck and the rest of the family and go park over at the Marina. I motor over and pick them up. There is always something we need from the store.

I also have recently started to give the fun job to the 16 YO. He's already a great captain and he gets the sense that I trust him. Works fine. We stay a whole weekend, and I get a slip. You can see the hotel we stay at in the upper right. It's called "The Hacienda" and they claim to have the oldest gaming license in Nevada. The walls are plastered with pictures of the building of the Dam. If you ever go to Vegas it's worth the drive over to see the Dam and then pop into the Hacienda for lunch. I have been there a bunch of times and I still walk the walls and review the pics every time.

I know, after seeing that picture above with a HUGE line I'm so thankful for what I have. I've never waited too long to get in the water
