i have an '87 sea ray weekender, and with all the rain southern california has had this year my boat keeps filling up with water. I have no idea where the rainwater is entering from. I have looked and looked for where the water has been coming from but i have come up empty handed. Has anybody been in the same situation or have any ideas?

Cover leaking?

I made a cover support out of 4" ABS pipe and fittings that keeps the center of the cover 18" higher than the sides, helps the water flow off opposed to pooling on the cover and leaking. The support rests on the windshield frame and transom. We had the same kind of rain here in Vegas and I didn't any water in my boat, it's a new cover though.

I once had a boat with a tight, full cover and it STILL collected rain. I found it was getting in thru the bilge vents so I had the cover modified with little flaps to cover each vent. Problem solved.

A dockmate of mine has a 30' Sea Ray sedan (1989) and he discovered that a rainwater leak was from the s/s trim pieces along the edge of the flybridge. It was never properly caulked from the factory. He removed all the trim, cleaned up the joints and re-caulked. Solved the problem.
Maybe your express boat has a similar problem. I'm sure it's frustrating. I've heard of people testing for leaks like this with dyed water.

I had an '03 240 DA... the water leaked under the front window seal... along the dash... dribbled down the side onto the little glovebox. There it got behind it and dripped onto the roof of the mid-cabin... down onto the floor and puddled in the back corner... and soaked the cushions in there.
It seems so obvious now but to find it then I had a buddy with a hose on various parts of the boat while I kept an eye inside. Maybe that strategy will help you.
