Radio turns on when starting the engine?

Whenever I turn my engine on the radio automatically turns on and it's full blast. Could this be a wiring issue or is the stereo toast?

I had the same problem.

I have a Jensen marine radio and there is a setting you can go to on the radio to adjust the volume at start up.
I have mine real low so that I can't hear it when I fire up.

Let me know if you have the same radio and I'll dig out the manual I downloaded just for this reason.
