1986 Stratos fishing boat its been in storage for 4 years. Pumped the fuel out installed new batteries it fired right up. Lucky me! the only problem the throttle only button is hanging up. I wiggled the throttle lever and was able to in gauge higher rpm for start up. It needs some TLC to make it right. I googled the problem and it sent me to this site to a post from jimmbo feb27 2017 with a link for another boater with the same problem. heres the link it would not open for me http://www.boatinfo.no/lib/mercury/manuals/mercury_1965-1989_40-115.html#/314. Can any of you happy boaters give me guidance on this issue? thanks for any info.
