Quicksilver throttle control center button on Suntracker Pontoon

my throttle control center button is missing from my mercury quicksilver control. Just bought the Suntracker Pontoon with a 60 hp Mercury Bigfoot and the owner said that it was on it before I trailered it back to Ohio from Tennessee. Has anyone experienced the button popping out while traveling and is it an easy fix? I can still start it and push it what is left of the center portion but it is pointy and have to use a penny or such to push it in to engage the throttle on start up

Yes I know they sell replacement parts but what I was inquiring about was if the throttle button has ever popped out while traveling. I just wanted to know if that was possible or if not maybe it wasn't there when I bought it

Yes, they do tend to disappear.

If your engine is: four stroke EFI engine, it's really not needed.

Got the button finally. It just popped in without and problem at all.
