Quicksilver side mount control disassemble problem

Greetings all. I found this site looking for help fixing my throttle control. There was an old thread with my exact issue, didn't know how to link to it, replacing throttle only shaft assembly. The shift cable nut was positioned to where i couldn't get if off and for some reason couldn't get the linkage to move. I moved on to remove the three bolts holding the bearing plate. With the screws off, i am still cant the plate off. Is there something else i need to remove? Any help will be appreciated.

Can depend on which side mount control, but in most cases the throttle button and handle is removed by putting it in the full forward position

Thanks for the response. That manual is the exact one I have. My issue was i didn't remove the screw that held the wire bracket to the housing. Waiting for the part to come in. Thanks a million!
