One gasket, a thin coat of Perfect Seal (or equivalant) on each side of the gasket, and you should be good to go.

The manual says I think...Not to use perfect seal on the thermostat housing gasket. I messes with the 2 metal tabs or something causing false gauge readings or something like that anyways

yeah, i can't use sealant on the housing gasket (lower gasket) because of the rivet things in the gasket...cannot remember the technical term. Messes with the temp sender if you do.

Errrrrgggg

Well got the thermostat on, replaced the hoses all good right?

Wrong. Broke a piece of the temperature sensor unit that screws into the thermostat housing.

*sigh*

I broke one of the wires for that sensor but was able to solder a new flag onto it and get it back into working order. The whole sensor unit is a bit fragile for all the thick metal that it's attached to.
