Quick Power Trim/Tilt Fitment Question 140hp, 40hp

I'm sure its a long shot, but is there any chance a 1980 Evinrude 140hp v4 power trim/tilt would work with a 1989 Evinrude 40hp 2-cyl?

Don't think it will work because of different stern brackets.

The v-4's and the 2 cyls used two different types of power t/t. Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up the difference on the parts diagrams.
