I just got done repairing the transom and the floors in my 17 ft crestliner fiberglass boat . Im wondering if I can go ahead and paint the transom now (so I can get the engine mounted back on the boat) or do I have to keep a "wet edge" in order for it to come out looking right? Im looking at interlux or awel grip 1 part paint systems.

Do you think it is something that will cause lap marks and that they will be noticeable? You won't get to certain places once the engine is installed, so I would think that you would paint what you can't reach.

Paint it! When it's time to tie in the rest do a light scuff with 100 grit, acetone wash it and you're good to go.

Best way is to get a FREE Photoucket account. Set your default pic size to 640 x 480,
http://forums.iboats.com/showthread....ht=Photobucket
upload your pics, then hover over the pic and when the pop up window opens click the last selection (IMG Code) It will say copied. Now return to iBoats and paste it into your post.
