Actually Wisco makes a forged piston for these, but it's not known to have a higher melting point than the stock ones. Opinions vary, but most avoid them as they have different expansion properties. If you do use them, warm the motor up well before hammering it. <br /><br />I've never stuck one on a dyno to test the difference, I do know from experimentation that the hole shot seems unchanged. I'm talking 23 - 21 here, I've never tried one at 27.<br /><br />All I know is that after looking at hundreds of holes, I see two failures over and over, stuck rings, and melted domes. (with water ingestion coming in a distant third)<br /><br />-W
