hallo joe,<br />i have a problem with my 175 evi intruder mod. 94.<br />i lost three powerpacks the last year.<br />engine runs fine about 3 hours, than the powerpack is demaged.<br />i found a 0,2 voltage during running the engine on the kill wire after i disconnect it from the powerpack.<br />can this demage my powerpack?<br />mount a new killwire<br />checked the stator,looks new. checked the ohm- test reading 565 between brown and brown-yellow wire.<br />checked the voltage between orange and orange black wire reading 40 voltage. manual means 50 voltage.<br />get only 130 voltage between the brown and brown--yellwo wires at idle.<br />manual means min 150 voltage.<br />should i change the stator?<br />whats about the regulator?<br />need help.<br />bestbragards <br />andyfrom germany

You have a ignition switch that is shorting out, allowing a slight bit of voltage travel down the black/yellow wire to the kill circuit of the powerpack.<br /><br />The slightest amount of voltage applied to that black/yellow wire will destroy a powerpack as you've found out.<br /><br />Replace that ignition switch, then double check that black/yellow wire for voltage. The new switch should have cured the problem but it's a good idea to doublecheck.

thank you joe,<br />perhaps i have an another problem.<br />yesterday i checked my stator with my repair manual.<br />if i put the black lead from my volt meter to the ground and the red lead to the orange wire of the statorkabel, reading is 2,7 volts.<br />on the orange -black wire there is 4 volts.<br />manual means there should be no volts.<br /><br />next.<br />if i measure between brown- yellow and ground there is 12 volts<br />between brown and ground there is 14 volts<br />between brown-black and ground there is 11 volts<br />between brown -white and ground there is 8 volts<br /><br />manual means there should be no voltage<br /><br />what do you mean is the stator not in a good Contition?<br /><br />BEST REGARDS <br />ANDY FROM GERMANI
