Hello everyone. While I, myself, am not a boat owner and... actually pretty clueless about this thing, my dad recently bought a boat and has asked me to look into the usage of O3 to keep water clean so he can focus on the other stuff.

Now. I've looked a bit into these ozone generators and while there are several dangers surrounding the usage of O3 to clean air, it seems like it is quite safe practice to clean water with and my dad thought it'd be a good way to keep the water clean over a longer duration without constantly have to replace the water tank with fresh water.
Is this, indeed, an effective way to do so? Also for longer trips, like ones up to a month?
My dad found a very cheap ozone generator on Aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32870723993.html) which seems to be quite questionable so I've advised against it. Any of you experience with this particular one? If this one is fine, would this suffice for a 280 liter tank of water?
Another thing my dad wishes to know is whether this ozone generator, or one like it, can be used with 12 volt.
One more thing he wants to know is whether it is safe. The water tank is at the bottom of the boat, next to the motor, and is in a closed area. Could this cause the O3 to remain there and create health risks? Or can he use a tube to the outside to get it out of the room?
To sum it all up the following questions:
1) Is the usage of ozone generators a good way to keep water fresh for a longer period of time?
2) a) Is the cheap ozone generator on aliexpress a good option, or better not, for a 280 liter tank of water? If not, what would be a good option, ideally cheap?
2) b) Any of these options with 12 volt?
3) Does it pose health risks when the water tank is at the bottom of the boat, next to the motor, in a closed area? And if so, would a tube to the outside be enough to remove the O3 from the air?
4) Something I am curious about, what is the difference between the different types of ozone generators? I found a bit of info on what almost seems like air bubbles being blown in some sort of pebble that needs replacing every once in a while, and something with electrolytes or something. Isn't the latter better since it doesn't need replacing?
