JHOLE, What a trickster! You had me going, too! I'm thinkin', "if this is how he REALLY does it and doesn't see anything wrong..."<br />Like Bomar, I've been behind you (or your brother) a couple dozen times...<br />You burned me, bud!<br />Happy Boating!<br />Brian<br />PS, the wife & I LOVE Maumee Bay Lodge. We'd like to plan another week on the big water sometime soon. Have they put in a ramp at the lodge yet? The closest one was about 5 miles away.

Hey NB_CANADA, I had never seen anyone 'power loading'. I wouldn't take the risk. Around here, if your powering on to the trailer, your likely sucking lots of sand into the intake. At the marina I use it can get busy, so I prepare the boat/kids PFD in the parking lot, back down and the boat slips off with wife on the lines, park, jump aboard and go. Return is nearly same in reverse except cranking a couple feet. Can't take more than the time it takes to pee. If there is a wait, most boaters just have a friendly chat and its a good chance to see whats happening on the water when talking to returning boaters.

Brian, it is a great place. We are west about 1/2 mile.<br /><br />No they haven't done the ramp and I have never heard of it being in the plans. I am not sure why. I don't necessarily think it would be a bad idea, but, at the same time it would be the only & closest public ramp to the population base. I can only imagine the issues that would arise.
