The steering tube on your red & white boat... That looks like what I will need also. Is the the $95 one from T&R Marine or something else? I have an Evinrude 33HP Ski-Twin. I'm going to need something like that to make it work with a modern steering system. BTW, how is yours attached since your motor clamps don't reach down far enough?

the Johnson-Evinrude 9.9, 15, 25, 30, 35, 40 HP, 1977 and newer FWK-3475, will work fine for you. the reason mine is not under the clamps, is i had to trim the top of the transom, to fit under the cap, so it was not level to mount. i just drill 4 holes in the plate and mounted under the motor. i would do that anyway, if it was under the clamps. mine is also set up for left hand steering.

you are a day late and a $ short, i just gave the extra one i had to Fuzzywiggler, the 16 y/o young man who is restoring a boat.

$95 is a good price.
