Don I have seen you tell many of the folks here what manual they need. I need some advice on my manual.
I bought a 1979 Searay and it came with a manual. It is Vol 2. My engine sn is MC 228 5400698 and my Transom assbly is 5429742. Inside the front cover of the manual it states the sn it covers and my numbers are higher. is this the right manual for my boat?

When you get back to the 70's, it's hard to get info on a certain SN. Yours does fall in the range of parts lookup SN's as being in the 79 to 82 range, which should be using service manual #3, not #2.
