Do on some on-board chargers come with a plug in that mounts on the side of the boat or does the extension cord connect directly to the charging unit?

They come with a plug so you can plug it into an extension cord. A lot of people replace the plug with a permanent mounted plug.

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to identify the purpose of a plug on the side of my recently purchased bass boat and I was assuming it was for the on-board charger but it doesn't look like a electrical plug in. It's more of a chrome knob mounted right near the charger. Anyone have any ideas what this is?
