Question about installing new clutch/gear set in 1999 Bravo 3

tpenfield, I had a friend make the same suggestion but unfortunately, I had already disassembled things.

there is always a next time . . . especially with boats. I'll be taking apart my B3's this spring for a looksy at the clutches.

Just to post an update, I was able to get a hold of new-old-stock of the original bearing assembly (31-86763A2) for the pinion gear and it worked perfectly. The assembly date on the bearing assembly was 2008 so I know that bearing assembly was in use when the original 2001-17 bulletin came out.

Anyway, I basically followed manual 11's directions and the outdrive is reassembled.

I also noted the timken bearing and race numbers from the kit and I did find they are available for purchase.
