Question about 2012 Yamaha F90TLR...

Can someone tell me what these five holes are intended for (see picture)?
2012 Yamaha F90TLR w/failed trim pump, on a 20' Premier pontoon boat.
I won't be able to pull it and do the needed repair until next winter.
So meanwhile, I'd like to get it locked in a little more trimmed out position.
When I loosen the bleed screw, I am able to manually move it outward (up).
Would it be okay to slide a long bolt through one of these sets of holes.
It's a 10" bolt w/nylock nut. Is it safe to allow the OB to push against that?

Those holes are for the insertion of a pin that will limit the down trim range.

if that bolt bends, it might be hard to remove.
So make sure you use a good grade of bolt or buy the pin made to go in there

Yeah. I was already a bit concerned about that.
I have a 3/8" x 10" long bolt, with washers, and a nylock nut.
It's the largest diameter (standard) bolt I can fit into the holes.
Do you know where I could locate a P/N for the factory pin?
I've checked the parts diagrams but can't seem to find it...

I do not see it either, might contact your local dealer to see if they can come up with the proper part number

I went ahead and tried the long 3/8" bolt with flat washers and nylock nut.

We store the pontoon boat on an air lift, and I was able to crawl onto the lift (under the boat), lay on my back, and push the outboard out with my legs, while my wife inserted the bolt. We placed it into the third hole out on the bottom.

The boat rides much better now. The outboard is now sitting just about vertical, whereas before it was trimmed all the way in, and pushing the bow of the boat way down.

The only negative impact I've noticed so far, is some increased vibration at idle, which I assume is being transferred through the more rigid contact between the transom bracket and the swivel bracket.

So will it be safe to operate it like this all season, until next winter?
