Other than a couple bucks apiece, what's the difference? I know Q is for resistor & L44 is the recomended plug for my engine but what is the rest? Is the CC a hotter running plug or something? ('84 75 hp Envinrude - 3 cylinder)

Re: QL77JC4 vs QL77CC

Q is actually inductive (low resistance) suppression. the correct type of suppression for use with CD ignition systems. R type can be use with points ignition systems.

The number ie 77 is the heat range. The higher the number the hotter the plugs.

CC stands for double copper

Full Champion code HERE

Correct plugs are QL77JC4 (L77JC4 if suppressed plugs not required.) Gap should be 0.030"
Originally surface gapped plugs were listed for sustained high speed use but they seem to have gone out of favour

Thanx. THe "JC" was throwing me. I guess it means a "J" and a "C". I was looking for "JC" (combined) meant.
