q6 Tahoe speed questions

My first choice was a gt185 glastron with a 4.3l 190, part of that choice was because of the max speed of around 50mph, due to other issues this boat was no longer available for the price i was quoted.
The alternative was a 07 tahoe q6 with a 4.3l 190hp not mpi. The boat is still wrapped in plastic and never been in the water. All I want to know is the top speed of the boat
-The 97 brochure says 47-49mph
-The dealer told me 41mph
-Other forums say between 50and61mph

-2007 Tahoe q6 sport
-2750lbs (approx)
-4.3l 190hp (carb)
-21" prop factory
-gearing I think is 1.62

Please if anyone has this same boat could you help me with the top speed question and any info about this boat, as for me it is a fairly big purchase.

I'm gonna say it's gonna be low forties....it's just a loat of boat for that motor.

i have a 195 which is a little smaller than the q6 and it will run in the low 40's with myself, the wife and 2 kids with gear. it also has the 4.3 with carb.

My Q3 top speed is posted by Taho was 51-53 ,but I'm running a Trophy plus four blade 21p and it's running 55-59. Have just gotten it back from JayMartin prop and should be gaining 1-3 mph as it was pulling my rpm down to 5500.So it can depend on your prop on you speed question as well.

I have a Q7i with the 220 I/O and get around 43-45 with just me and very little equipment. But it's fast enough for skiing and tubing which is what we spend most of our time doing anyway.

My ?07 Tahoe Q4 with a 4.3 tops out just under 55 mph, with two adults, two kids, and full fuel. I think 45-50ish is a reasonable estimate for your size boat.

Thanks for the info, I talked to the rep today he is saying he can guarentee me 45 with two people and limited gear, so I guess I am buying it.
(Its the only boat my wife liked so far anyways)


Also wondering if anybody knows what the price this boat would go for? I got the dealer down to 20k with some gear and my first prop at his cost.

Seems, maybe a touch high...but fair. I bought my 06 q7i with a 5.0 mpi and bravo 1 outdrive in aug of 07 for 21,500. As far as how fast it runs my boat would do over 60 with my 3 blade 19 pitch vengence(2 people full fuel), but would lag a little on holeshot with 6 people loaded down. My 17 pitch 4 blade solas will run my boat 54-55 at 5k rpm, but I will gladly give up a little top end for the holeshot and turning ability. So I would deff, get a prop from your dealer that will give overall performance, not just topend.
