I have a 1975 evinrude 135. I am needing to pull the flywheel off. I have a flywheel puller but i need to know what size bolts fit into the flywheel. Also whats steps do i take in pulling the flywheel off and is there anything i need to watch for when pulling it off? thanks in advance.

Re: pulling flywheel

they are 5/16 ,I think 24 thread(fine thread) be sure you get hardened bolts,do not use soft metal,be sure you thread evenly, you can find the bolts usually in the better hardware stores, they usually have drawers for special bolts like hardened, stainless,.plastic etc.

Re: pulling flywheel

First class auto parts stores have Gr8 bolts and washers. Avoid most of the chains, since they typically don't carry this stuff.
