First, thanks for this group and letting us in. Great info on this site. Second, the old wheel on my ‘88 24’ Sylvan is rickety and the wood is rotted so I’m replacing it, BUT, I can’t get the old one to budge. Is it threaded onto the spindle or is it just frozen by age? Thanks in advance for any help. Wyndon

Howdy, Wynd.

It has a tapered shaft and key. Put the nut back on to save your teeth and start pulling on the wheel.

A 2 or 3 jaw puller might work. Again, put the nut on, tighten up on the puller and tap on the steering shaft with the nut protecting the threads.

Maybe try your favorite de-rusting solvent to loosen any rust.
