2000 Mercury 40 2 cycle.
This past week, we were in Canada on vacation. Motor all worked fine till the last of 5 days.
The motor would tilt up and down fine.. would trim the same at low speeds.. but when trying to get on plane and trim.. it wouldn't go up. Had to slow down to trim up.
Now funny thing is, my Tach started going wacky each time I hit the trim button on the shifter. This did this only when I tried to trim up at speed, as the trim wouldnt work.
Tach was fine if I trimmed up and then went WOT from slow or stop. I had replaced the Tach the week before but didnn't have any issues.
Have not checked fluid levels yet tho.
