Protecting the hull when beaching

I vote for the keel guard....the person who had my boat before just beached it and the gel coat was wore off on the keel. After I repaired the gel coat I put on the keel guard. It went on easy and hid my repairs. I bought one long enough it covered my keel from the water line in front all the way to the rear. They are also warranted for damage from beaching to it just coming off. Only time you can really see it is on the trailer but since it is color coded it looks like it belongs there...

I just beach my boat if it is calm. Most of the time, I just bring it in sideways. If its rough, I anchor bow out. I really don't worry if the gel coat gets rubbed.
