I just bought a 2007 23' Century Center Console. Boat is awesome. I bought a new prop, its 14 1/2 x19. I Believe its the right prop according to specs but I feel like I should have a little more speed at top end. Im cruising around 23,24 mph at 45-4600 RPMs. WOT is 5700, no problem getting up on plane. Anybody have any thoughts on a different size prop? or does this sound about right? Yamaha 250 4 stroke.

Its a 2007 Yamaha F250 4 stroke. From what i can find it looks like WOT range is 5000-6000. Im at 5700 right now. Boat weighs 4200 lbs. I dont do any tubing, wake boarding etc. Im looking for max top end speed and fuel efficiency.

You are in the Upper half of the WOT Range which is Preferable. Was this attained with Normal Loading, Light Load, or Heavy Load?
Was the the Engine Trimmed for Optimal Speed when you got the Results?
Is the Engine mounted at the Correct Height?
You say 14 1/2 X 19. I will assume it is a 3 blade. Do you know what Brand and what Model/Lineage the Prop is? Brand X, model #3, and Brand X model #5, Brand Z Model #17, can all be 14 1/2 X 19 and all give different End Results.

Normal Loading, I always trim for max speed and rpm, not sure of correct height. As far as I know its original motor on boat. Prop is stainless and yes its a 3 blade, not sure model? Boats in the water, I can check next time im down there. Thank You
