Welcome to iboats

What engine does the Boat have?
What is the WOT Rpm range for that engine?
What WOT Rpms is it attaining with the current Prop.

Definitely need to go to a Lower Pitch, of course, I am assuming the engine is in good Mechanical shape, in tune, and able to make its rated HP

What are you running wide open throttle though and well trimmed… without pulling a skier.

4200, still on the Low Side, drop 2 inches in Pitch on the 3 blade, and you will notice much better hole shot, and maybe another mph

Yes, you will probably lose a couple more hundred Rpm

jimbo is steering you straight need to drop pitch

17” three balde should get you to about 4600 rpm
if 4 blade would go 16 or 15”

are u currently using aluminum ?if you want to pull skiiers try a michigan vortex 4 blade 16” i used one on my previous boat did wonders for holeshot
