Proper Controls for Johnson 9.9 HP 4 stroke

I've got a 1960 Sea King 14' with a 2004 Johnson 9.9hp 4-stroke engine. What controls should I use. I've got a Mercontrol, but I don't believe it will work.

Perhaps your local Suzuki dealer can help on this JOHNSUKI motor.

I may be wrong but I think the engine is a Tohatsu. Regardless, look in Mercury Marine's website and find the answer.
