Propeller swap Volvo dp 290 and newer dps outdrive.

I was wondering if I could use the newer dps drive propellers on the older dp 290 outdrive? I can't find a clear answer

no. you can use A series (for diesels), B series (aluminum for petrol engines), C series (stainless versions of the B series), and the J series (new design supposed to replace the B series.

Hi. As far as I know…VP don’t offer the b series prop that most of these originally came with. The J series has replaced them, I’m sure. At an outrageous cost too. Not normally one to suggest straying from the OEM for parts, but I happen to know that the aftermarket alternative offered by Michigan marine, is known to be as good as it gets to the VP props…and not nearly as expensive. They offer a direct replacement for the b series. Hope that helps.
