Prop shaft replacement on 1999 Merc 25 h.p.

Can anyone tell me what the minimum parts list would be on a prop shaft replacement for the above mentioned engine if all thats messed up is the prop shaft? Just trying to get an idea on how much money I'm looking at. ODDD1, CaptBlacksMarine???

A complete lower unit seal kit,new lube (natch).<br />Other than that,it's all up to luck (that no other parts are worn-out of spec or broken.<br />This is not likely, if it doesn't have much run-time with a bent shaft.

Thanks for getting back 12footer. I haven't run the engine 5 mninutes since it happened and then it wasn't much over an idle. Only cranked and ran the engine to check water flow to make sure water intakes and tubes weren't plugged. The only way I know its bent is by spinning the prop in neutral and watching the prop nut and end of the shaft. I'm hoping the shaft and seal is all. I'm going to snatch the lower unit off and take it to a Merc mechanic do the work. I've never been in to a lower unit other than water pump kits and such. Just afraid replacing the shaft will be a little over my head.

EF..a propshaft, a propshaft seal, and a bearing carrier O ring, gear lube, got 3 years on the pump? that too...

Thanks ODDD1, actually the pump impeller is fresh. Just put it in the last week in December. Had to break the boat out and make a rescue run to get some friends that got stranded at our deer camp by flood water. Thanks again.

Great news!!!! Got the shaft straightened at a machine shop. The mechanic I use told me it could be done. The machine shop and mechanic's bill was less than $100. I'm grinning big time.
