Prop shaft help

I have a 1985 Suzuki dt65. I bought a new aluminum prop to replace the stainless prop it came with. When I torqued the alum prop down (40lbs) it would rub against the bearing carrier housing, the stainless one didn’t.
After looking at the parts diagram it appears to be missing the washer that goes between the propeller bushing and the propeller.

In trying to figure all this out, I found the propeller bushing was stuck on the propeller shaft. In a rednecked attempt to get it off, I made an improvised slide hammer. The hammer did not pull the bushing off, but pulled the propeller shaft out of the (stuck) bearing carrier housing about 3/8”.

I eventually fabricated a puller that pulled the prop bushing off quite well. And the propeller shaft seemed to tap back in place fairly easily.

My question is, have I damaged anything by pulling that propeller shaft out?

I was afraid you’d say that. Now to get that bearing carrier housing out!

The bearing case is stuck in there good. Should I drain the gear case oil before I heat the metal up?

See if you can give it a bump to turn it , to loosen the corrosion.----No it is not threaded.
