Can you use a oem yamaha prop on a merc outboard if the diameter and pitch are the same?

If the splines match(length and location in hub, as well as number) and a thrust washer compatible to both the prop and the engine is used. Also there is the diameter of the exhaust tube, and the blades need to clear the anti-ventilation plate and the trim tab
