prop removal 72 sears

just trying to figure out how to take off the propeller, removed the cotter pin tapped with hammer doesnt budge. is there something im missing???? or need to do..

You need to remove the shear pin also. look for a tiny hole and tap the little pin out. You will have to look real close for it.

You have to un screw that nut on the end and it should fall off if not the pin they are talking about will be under that nut.

Where was the pin? I just acquired a 70 Sears 7HP and have the cotter pin out, nut off, and can't get the prop off.
