Ok guys I have a 24 foot sun chaser pontoon with 23inch round toons. My motor is a 2000 Yamaha vmax 150 fuel injected I need help with my prop pitch selection. At wide open throttle my rpm gauge is pegging out past 8,000 rpms. I just rebuilt my motor and had it punched out .20 on all six cylinders my gas mileage sucks I have a 13 pitch right now on the motor and it will run about 40mph. I would like to know what would be a good pitch to go to to be able to bring my rpms down and to also get better gas mileage.

Need to know what the max suggested rpm is for your engine. Thinking it safe to say you could jump up at least one size, maybe 2? If there's money in the budget, you might want to consider going 4 blade as well....

What is the WOT rpm for your motor? Is your tach accurate? If you are turning 8000 rpm and you probably should be turning 6000 rpm then you need to move way up in pitch. I suspect something like a four bladed 19 pitch would get you in the ball park.
