I am trying to prop my boat and I need a little help. There is not much to go on here because what is going on, so I am taking good guesses at this point. I have a 21.5 foot bayliner ciera with a cuddy cabin. The old engine was a volvo 125 with a 270 outdrive and 14X 17 prop. I replaced the engine with a merc 260, and geared the outdrive to a 1.6 ratio. With my current (17) pitch, I got to about 25 miles an hour at 4000 RPM and could have pushed it a lot more but in an effort to save my engine I couldn't get WOT. According to http://www.a1discountprop.com/volvo-michigan.htm
I need a 14X23 which isn't made or available anymore. The only thing they use is boat length and HP to calculate it though. If anyone has any good guesses or running something similar, please respond
-Gerry
