Prop help 2 stroke 60hp 14ft

The motor was made in 1970 ( seletric ) and while in the water one day the pin came out and I lost the original prop. I replaced it with a 12-3/4-17 prop however it now does not seem to plane at all. I have no tach, it is a relatively light fiberglass tri-haul about 14 feet long no more maybe a little less, 60hp. So what is the best pitch for this boat and motor for top end speed.

EDIT: Also are the props for this old of a motor any different from the ones used on motors now?

In short, you need a prop with a diameter that you have about 1/2" clearance between the tip of the prop and the cavitation plate.
For the pitch, you need to select one that the engine achieve the rated RPM at full throttle with typical load, that is about 5000 for your engine. You would need a tachometer for that.
