I just bought very light boat with chrysler 55hp motor on it (555HC). there is standard propeller on it and engine is revving too much and I like'd to change pitch. I googled some time and came up with propulse propeller, but i'm not sure will it fit to my motor.

can anyone wiser than me tell will that porpeller fit. :)

Some details:
10 3/8
Non-thru hub exhaust & 14 spline and pin drive

Re: Prop for Chrysler 55hp

The Propulse 4901 has a 14 ct spline and a 74/78mm shaft. Your motor is not listed on the website. This looks like the only possible fit they have. You might want to can the Customer service number and confirm.......Good Luck!

Re: Prop for Chrysler 55hp

Chrysler made two different versions of the 55 HP. If yours is the pin drive prop the shaft on that engine is only about 18mm. If Michigan has a dealer over there, try a prop from an early Force 1982-1989 40 or 50 HP engine. I believe they were all pin drive too. Standard was 10 3/8 X 11. You would be looking for a 10 3/8 X 13

If your engine has the one piece lower unit with a thrust washer prop, then you are out of luck. You will only find used ones, and not that many.

Either style prop does come up for sale on ebay occasionally if you are willing to pay shipping.
