I have a 95 mercury 200 efi. Im looking for a trophy plus or similar 26p 4 blade. I see alot of these but i cant tell if its the right hub size. my lower unit uses the large hub size. I have not seen different hub sizes listed on prop ads. Can anyone help me with finding the proper prop for my boat. Its a 91 Vision bass boat.

A 26P prop is a little higher in pitch than most of the props sold. However, I do not expect that you would have trouble determining that it will fit your motor and getting the right hub. Are you using the prop wizard for the Trophy prop you want?

Looks like you need to know if your motor is 2 cycle or 4 cycle. That prop is not avail on that web site, but if you get the right hub number, it is avail on other sites.

Mercury 135-400HP Outboards

  • 135-400HP Outboards, 1978-Newer
  • Use Hub Kit #835257K6 for all 2-Stroke outboards
  • Use Hub Kit #8M0150151 for 135-225HP 4-Stroke outboards with 1.0" prop shaft
  • Use Hub Kit #8M0101602 for 225+HP 4-Stroke outboards with 1.0" prop shaft
  • Use Hub Kit #8M0101601 for all 1.25" prop shaft applications (V8 Fourstroke & 350-450 Verado)

Hi. That will only come in the size your after anyway. For larger gear case like yours. Just be the usual flo torque hub kit that you’d use in most any other merc prop for your engine. I’d recommend the uprated hub kit that prevents prop rattle at slow speeds.

Yes its a 2 cycle. The mercury prp chart recommends the 26p prop. Im running a 3 blade 25p right now and doing 5500 rpm and only 43 mph. I cannot find a chart that tells me which size hub to get. Thats my issue. There are 2 different size lower units for that motor.

I think i referred to the wrong issue. Its the difference in the size needed formy large size lower unit

I think you have other issue maybe. You wouldn’t want more pitch after those numbers surely. I’d do a compression check

Gee a Bass boat (typical) would fly with a 200HP motor. A prop efficiency calculator would tell you that you have massive slip.. My boat similar to a bass boat runs 60+ with a 135HP Merc and a 21 pitch prop. You have another issue.

do a compression test and weigh your boat, you are either down on power or way over-weight

Yeah. Something definitely isn’t right here. Your prop slip is just enormous. If your tacho is correct and the gps speed is correct…something isn’t quite right at all.
