Prop for 1990 johnson 90hp

I need to know what would be the best prop for a 1990 johnson 90hp VJ90MLESB for best fuel consumption. I'm using about 18gal gas for 30 miles.

What RPM are you running. Rule of thumb is, you prop towards the upper end of the rpm range with a light load for the most efficient operation of the motor.

Wow. are you running wide open?My last motor was a 1982 90 evinrude and with my 17p prop or a 19 p I would go 27 miles to camp on 4 u.s. gallons.Imostly used the 17p solas amita 4 blade .Something is seriously out of wack here.In theory at wot you should burn 9 to 10 gallons .I one hour id be well past camp at wot.What type of boat?How heavy?
