I have a 98 17' Proline CC with a 90HP Force. When i get the boat up on plane and travel about 25mph,, I really have to put a death grip hold the steering wheel, for if I let up a bit the boat will pull hard to the right. Is there anyway adjust that? I not looking for cruise control,,but just to balance it out a bit. ;)

there should be a angled piece about the propeller, with a bolt in the center. loosen the bolt and adjust the fin, if wheel pull right, move back of fin to the right. you will have to experiment several times to get it adjusted correctly.

Also play with the trim. With a lot of these engines if the trim is too far in, they will have a very heavy torque reaction; trim out until just before the prop starts to ventilate. Torque will be less at that point.

If all else fails and you can't live with the steering, retro-fit the boat with a non-feedback steering system--couple of hundred bucks or so.
