problems with 79 Johnson ob.

When I idle the carbs act like there loading up.when i excelerate the engine dies.Wont start unless I raise throttle all the way.

Hi popr367<br /><br />It sound like your are right. Did you ore someone work on this before. I didnt get which model this is, but it sounds like one of or your carbs may be flooding, or the low speed jet is way out of adjustment. Give us a model number and some history . How did this show up ?

HI G DANE, A couple of years ago I rebuilt the carbs because of this problem.Still no change in performance.I have the carbs off now. MODEL#115TL79R Johnson 115hp.
