Well to start I recently purchase this motor/boat. I took it out twice and the second time out it dies on me & the wife. We ran down river 5 or 6 miles flat out no problems at all, stopped anchored for an hour or so. The we ran back up river 3 to 4 miles suddenly the motor just lost all power and only would go at idle speed even with the throttle all of the way down.<br /> <br />Then I checked the battery connection and the positive battery post was fire hot (burnt my hand). We limped about 1/2 mile then the engine just died. Got towed in by a buddy.<br /><br />I get the thing home check it out find a loose ground think this is the problem with the battery nope positive post still hot. I change battery and the motor fires up and runs good for 5 min with the muffs on. then I shut it off. then it would not crank, I charge the battery to full charge still nothing just click starter not even engaging. Please help (New owner of a Boat)<br /><br />P.S. water is coming out of where it should be for cooling
