problem with my 1979 johnson stinger 75hp.

I have a 75hp 1979 johnson stinger (outboard), that i baught from a buddy. when I tried starting it, all it does is crank over. There is no spark. I changed the 3 coils. My question is what elese should i check. I dont know much about boat engins. Also what is the fuel mixture ratio for this engin?

Unhook the main harness and jump the starter solenoid. If you have spark now the problem is forward of the engine, maybe the key switch itself.

When you do this check spark only. If it starts you'll have no way to shut it off other than manually choking it until it floods out.
