First, I apologize if my English is not good enough. It is not my primary language.
My engine is 1996 4.3 LX Mercruiser.
Some days ago, I replaced Pump an Booster Cylinder. Steering cable moves easily when the end is not connected to the transom.
Problem is: Unit turns, but takes effort, as if hydraulic pump pressure is low. But if somebody helps pushing clevis assembly, helping the push of steering cable while other person is turning the steering wheel, the cylinder pushes and unit turns smoothly. It seems like actuator needs to be forced a bit to actuate.
